“Once in a while it really hits people that they don’t have to experience the world in the way they have been told.” – Alan Keightley
A fantastic quote that was mentioned by todays guest, Chris Guillebeau, New York Times best selling author, modern-day world traveler, and host of World Domination Summit.
I am very excited to share Chris’ thoughts on what a quest is and how having a quest can completely change your life experience. Interestingly, as part of the Leadership Development group I’m part of, we work a great deal with the idea of a quest. I would say reframing goals to think in terms of a quest has been the biggest fundamental shift in my life this year. I am thrilled that Chris made the time to share his personal thoughts about quest and finding purpose in our lives with our Creative Warriors community.
Chris is a thought-provoking and inspirational guy that is optimistically embracing life on his own terms. He is what I would call a boundless force of nature. Chris clearly has a burning desire to live life free of regret! You will likely find yourself asking yourself questions like, “If I could do anything at all without regard to time or money, what would it be?” And, “What’s worth living for?” Chris is a change-maker and simply being in his presence causes you to question what you are really capable of.
You can read his impressive bio here. And stop by and meet Chris on his book tour. He’s probably coming to a city near you. The book tour schedule is below. I’ll be at the kick off event September 9th in Brooklyn, NY.
- How to release yourself from potential regret!
- The 5 key elements of a quest
- The difference between a goal and a quest
- Be aware of your motivations to create long term sustainability
- Lessons in experience and confidence plus misadventures and self management
We’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Comment on the blog so your voice can be heard by many and everyone can share in the learning. Are you working on a quest? What WOULD you be doing if you could do anything at all without regard to money and time? Do you feel like your career is your quest?
